The Cowardly Lion Takes on Médoc
I was sat eating my Alpen on Saturday morning when my phone buzzed - another message on the WTC chat group. This time when I looked, I almost spat out my Alpen. Harry Gow was dressed up as a lioness - what was he up to this time?
This WTC athlete was taking part in the infamous Marathon does Châteaux du Médoc in fancy dress. He wasn't taking part on his own though. He was joined by Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Wicked Witch of the West, the Good Witch of the East and even the Yellow Brick Road.
The marathon was probably his slowest to date taking around 7 hours, but when the refuelling stations involve drinking wine rather than water, that's understandable. Well Done Harry - how's the hangover?
