Andrew Harden-Sweetnam

Having finally stopped playing rugby at Wallingford RFC at the age of 53, Triathlon was the go to sport for me. It’s fast, it’s competitive, it’s social and it’s a great deal of fun. The club has helped me develop enormously. When I joined I was a poor swimmer, but with the excellent coaching I’ve received at WTC, I can now confidently tackle any open water swim in any event. I’ve been thrilled to be part of the club since it was created and likewise to be on the committee as membership secretary. I’ve competed in most distances and completed my first half Ironman in mid 2022. I live in South Stoke with my partner and our children, dog and chickens!
